521.01. ECONOMIC THEORY AND ECONOMIC POLICY
This program focuses on researching the nature, operating principles, and evolution of the economic system in relation to the opportunities available to economic agents and the economic, political, and institutional constraints they face at the micro- and macroeconomic levels. Its aim is to train specialists with advanced theoretical and analytical skills, capable of proposing new theories and developing rational and responsible economic policies. At the same time, students acquire the general and specific research skills necessary for writing a doctoral dissertation.
Doctoral students attend 4 required courses, which build their research competencies, and 4 elective courses, which develop their cross-disciplinary, general, and professional research competencies:
