The Doctoral School is an organizational and administrative unit of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, and its purpose is to train researchers and specialists in the field of economic sciences. Doctoral studies represent the third cycle of university education and focus on developing in-depth expertise in a doctoral field, with a disciplinary or interdisciplinary focus.

The objectives of the ASEM Doctoral School are:

• advanced training of researchers in their field of specialization;
• developing researchers’ skills in research, critical analysis, and synthesis;
• promoting scientific values, ethics, and academic integrity;
• ensuring excellence in teaching and scientific research;
• developing partnerships and maintaining cooperative relationships with institutions, authorities, and economic entities;

The ASEM Doctoral School offers 9 doctoral programs and has been authorized to award the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences since 2015.

In its more than 10 years of existence, the ASEM Doctoral School has demonstrated the exceptional academic preparation of its doctoral students, who have established themselves over time in the academic and business communities as promoters of research and innovation.
