The target audience for doctoral programs consists of persons who wish to:
- obtain an academic degree for career advancement or to qualify for certain jobs.
- combine professional experience with academic research to find the most effective solutions to existing or potential problems.
- expand their intellectual capacities by opening new horizons of knowledge.
Doctoral Programs
The ASEM Doctoral School is authorized to organize doctoral studies in the following doctoral programs:
- Duration
- Studies under these programs are organized as full-time (3 years) and part-time (4 years).
- Structure

The doctoral program is conducted in 3 stages:
- Advanced university training program, which develops the professional and cross-disciplinary competencies of doctoral students
- Individual scientific research program, intended for the preparation of the doctoral thesis and scientific publications.
- Public defense of the doctoral thesis.
- Objectives

- Acquisition of cross-disciplinary, general, and professional research competencies corresponding to Qualification Level 8 (CNC/ISCED).
- Awarding of the Certificate of Doctoral Studies upon successful completion of the doctoral program.
- Awarding the title of Doctor of Science and the Doctor of Science degree upon successful defense of the doctoral dissertation.
